Rickenbacker 4003SW Walnut Left-Handed

This is the Rickenbacker 4003SW Walnut Left-Handed series variant. A walnut body with a maple fingerboard has a solid and natural appearance. This model produces significantly warmer bass tones than the maple model.

Paul McCartney and Chris Squire coveted this vintage Rickenbacker bass type with dot inlays and no binding when they received their first 4001S versions in 1964. Players adore its classic design and softened edges, which many feel make it more comfortable than the 4003.

The upgraded 4003SW variant includes an improved dual truss rod system. Of course, the legendary solid bass tones, ringing sustain, and treble punch make it a dream. It’s no surprise Rickenbacker received a consistent stream of demands to reintroduce this.

In the 1960s, this style was exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris. The body is made of iconic maple curves and has a conventional rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays and no binding distinguish this from the normal 4003.

The 4003SW includes a hardshell case.
