V-MOD II PICKUP

The V-Mod II Precision Bass pickups are tweaked versions of our original vintage pickup designs. These split-coil pickups give the classic warmth, punch, and clarity that made Fender a legend, while also delivering the essential Fender bass sound you know and love.

NEW SCULPTED NECK HEEL

The rounded neck heel and beveled neck-plate improve access to the upper register and make leads easy and comfortable.

HIMASS VINTAGE BRIDGE

The cold-rolled steel baseplate, high mass brass backstop, and chrome-plated brass saddles of this precision built string-through or top load bridge give sustain, resonance, and better attack.

’63 P BASS® NECK PROFILE

The ’63 P Bass® neck profile is widely regarded as the gold standard of bass neck profiles, and is used on Fender American Professional Ii Precision Bass Left-hand instruments. The Super-Natural satin finish on the back of the neck creates a smooth fret-hand feel that is enhanced by the rounded fingerboard edges.

TAPERED-SHAFT TUNING MACHINES

The tapered shafts, which are wider at the top than the bottom, pull the string windings downward and keep them tight, resulting in a sharper and more constant break angle over the nut and enhanced sustain and tuning stability.

POSIFLEX™ GRAPHITE RODS

All American Professional bass necks use Posiflex graphite rods to reinforce against movement caused by temperature fluctuations. They are embedded beneath the fingerboard and improve reliability on the road, in the studio, or at home.
