Fender MIJ International Color Precision Bass

The Fender MIJ International Color Precision Bass Series revisits a rare combination in Fender® history and reintroduces a brilliant, original, and cherished series. The eye-catching International Color collection debuted nearly four decades ago and was produced for less than a year.

The International hues, which were introduced in 1981 with appointments steeped in ’70s style and a fresh pallet of hues named after exotic and provocative locations on the map, are now treasured by collectors and prized for their exotic beauty and uniqueness.

The Made in Japan International Color Series, which is back in a limited run, mixes a vivid vintage Fender spirit with Made in Japan craftsmanship to create a transcontinental treasure.

These basses deviate from the typical design by featuring resonant basswood bodies, 9.5″ radius maple or rosewood fingerboards, and medium jumbo frets to facilitate more experimental playing.

The ’70s “U” form neck features a handy “Bullet” style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-TiltTM mechanism, and even the serial number on the headstock face, just like the original. Fender tone and feel are delivered by vintage-style split single-coil Precision Bass® pickups and a 4-saddle bridge with single groove saddles.
