Rickenbacker 4003s Matte Black

The Rickenbacker 4003s Matte Black has all of the tone and playability of the 4003, plus smooth, comfortably rounded edges and the traditional look of dot fretboard inlays and no binding–a simplistic aesthetic favored by renowned bassists Paul McCartney and Chris Squire when they received their first 4001S models in 1964.

The redesigned 4003S has a beautifully carved maple body, a 33-1/4″ maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard to provide Rickenbacker’s world-famous playability and comfort. What else? Rickenbacker’s upgraded dual truss rod design is also standard on the 4003S.

The Rickenbacker 4003s Matte Black, which is equipped with a pair of single-coil pickups, delivers all of the sustain, robust lows, and high-end punch that have made Rickenbacker basses iconic.

It has a 3-way switch and a straightforward 4-knob control system with distinct Volume and Tone settings for each pickup. Simply turn up the Treble Tone slider to add some vintage character to your sound.

The Rickenbacker 4003s Matte Black is completed by a set of quality Schaller Deluxe tuning machines and a RIC bridge. It comes with a hardshell case.
