The Jazz Bass, first released in 1960, has weathered the test of time to become one of the most performed and recorded instruments in modern music history. As roundwound strings and brighter bass sounds became popular in the 1970s, a number of changes were made to the J Bass to fit changing musical tastes, most notably maple fingerboards and a back pickup relocated closer to the bridge.

The Classic Vibe ’60s Jazz Bass® Fretless pays homage to its birth decade by combining the luxury playability that made it renowned with the versatility and enormous tone of its dual Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups.

A slim, ergonomic “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing fretless fingerboard with fret lines for proper finger placement and a vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles are among the player-friendly characteristics. This vintage-inspired Squier model also has 1960s-inspired headstock insignia, rich nickel-plated hardware, and a smooth vintage-tint gloss neck finish for a vintage vibe.
