This Ibanez SRH505F Bass Workshop Semi-Hollow 5-String Natural Brown Burst Flat has a hollow body design that produces a rich and airy tone similar to a double bass.

Performance Based Design:

Even with its hollow body construction, it has a slender body like the rest of the SR range. It is lightweight and has an ergonomic curve where your arm rests, allowing you to play for hours without becoming tired. Another contour near the neck joint provides excellent higher fret access, enhancing the instrument’s playability and range.

Its thin 5-piece neck makes quick scales or difficult sections feel effortless. The main objective of this design is that it is non-restrictive; it does not prevent you from being the best player you can be. You can also easily maneuver this instrument because to the low 16.5mm string spacing, which maintains the neck small while being a 5 string bass.

Warm, Acoustic Sound:

The proprietary AeroSilk Piezo technology within this bass’s bridge produces a warm acoustic sound that is highly believable and natural. It has a tone that is quite close to a double bass, therefore if you are a gigging musician that plays in jazz ensembles, you can simply move this bass about as opposed to large double basses!

The custom bridge contains the magic of the AeroSilk Piezo system, which works with D’Addario ECB81 flat wound strings to provide that sense of irthat characterizes upright sound.

Forearm contour:

The specially designed forearm contour on the body top offers playing comfort and adds an elegant accent to its appearance.
